About the Contributor

Dr. Weaver spent 30 years as a Research Hydrologist at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development. His work focuses on the development and testing of online calculators and simulation models including the OnSite calculators, the Hydrocarbon Spill Screening Model and PVIScreen. As models require a foundation in data and field observation, he has worked extensively on gasoline composition and contaminant transport at field sites. Additionally, he has supported the agency with work on oil spill transport in chemical dispersing agents, assessment of transport for regulatory development, and drinking water impacts from hydraulic fracturing. He received a B.S. in Forest Engineering from the State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, an M.S. in Water Resources Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering also from The University of Texas at Austin.
