About the Contributor

Darlington Yawson is a PhD candidate in Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University. He joined Vanderbilt in 2022 and has since focused on understanding the mechanisms controlling the release and transport of PFAS from solid matrices, including pavement materials such as concrete and asphalt. His work combines laboratory leaching studies and transport modeling to support contaminant release assessment and remediation decision-making. He also has over 5 years of professional experience in industrial and hazardous waste management, which informs his interest in translating environmental research into practical solutions.
