About the Contributor

Marc Deshusses is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Duke University and the co-founder of 374Water, a social impact, cleantech company dedicated to the commercialization of supercritical water oxidation. Dr. Deshusses’s research interests are in novel reactors and sustainable processes for air, water and sludge treatment. Dr. Deshusses holds degrees in chemical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. He is the Director of Duke’s Energy Engineering Program and a fellow of AAAS. He serves as the Head of Technology for 374Water.
