About the Contributor

Dr. Dortch has 44 years of experience as a research engineer specializing in environmental modeling with emphasis primarily on water quality and contaminant transport and fate modeling. He retired from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) in January 2007. Since that retirement, he has worked as an ERDC contractor developing and applying models to predict the fate of munitions constituents and other contaminants associated with military sites. Much of this work was associated with the development and application of the Training Range Environmental Evaluation and Characterization System (TREECS™).
