Yida Fang is a senior environmental engineer at Haley & Aldrich in Seattle, Washington. Yida has over nine years of combined experience in consulting and applied research. As a consulting engineer, Yida has led and supported environmental site investigation and remediation efforts. In the realm of applied research, Yida has served as the principal investigator in SERDP and ESTCP projects. Specializing in the fate, transformation, and remediation of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), Yida is involved in airport projects aimed at assisting clients in managing and disposing of their aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF) stockpiles, as well as delineating PFAS plumes resulting from AFFF discharges. Yida has authored and co-authored over ten peer-reviewed publications on the transport and treatment of PFAS and has been invited to present findings at multiple national conferences. Yida is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington and Montana and holds a doctoral degree in environmental engineering from the Colorado School.
