Dora Ogles is the President of Microbial Insights (MI) and has nearly 20 years of experience in all aspects of molecular biological tools (MBTs) from assay design to interpretation of results. During her tenure at MI, the scope of MBTs adapted for the environmental remediation industry has expanded to include more than 80 qPCR assays, QuantArrays, stable isotope probing, and metagenomics. In addition, she continues to collaborate with leading researchers to ensure that the latest innovations in MBTs are transitioned to applications in the field. Ms. Ogles was an instrumental member of the SERDP Project ER-1561 to standardize procedures for use of nucleic acid based tools including recommendations for groundwater sampling and analysis using qPCR. She was a lead author on the Interstate Technology Regulatory Council (ITRC) Environmental Molecular Diagnostics (EMD) Guidance Documents and routinely presents at international conferences and workshops worldwide to support appropriate use and interpretation of MBTs.
